and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave;
Whoever therefore will humble himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant,
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
But not so with you; rather the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.
I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
For I consider myself in no way inferior to the most-eminent apostles.
So I will most gladly spend and be fully spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus.
