strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many afflictions we must enter the kingdom of God.”

For consider your calling, brothers, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble.

But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you and they themselves drag you into court?
