And Peter answered and said to Him, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
And He said, “Come!” And getting out of the boat, Peter walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?”
But Peter kept saying insistently, “If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing also.
Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.
For through the grace given to me I say to each one among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound thinking, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
But he must ask in faith, doubting nothing, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
