“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call out to the other children,
What shall I testify about you? To what shall I equate you, O daughter of Jerusalem? To what shall I liken you as I comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your destruction is as vast as the sea; Who can heal you?
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’
You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.
Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
And in His teaching He was saying: “Beware of the scribes who want to walk around in long robes, and want respectful greetings in the marketplaces,
And He was saying, “How shall we compare the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it?
Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seat in the synagogues and the respectful greetings in the marketplaces.
Therefore, He was saying, “What is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
