And He *directed the crowd to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves, He gave thanks and broke them. And He kept giving them to His disciples to serve to them, and they served them to the crowd.

Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it. And giving it to the disciples, He said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

“When I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of broken pieces did you pick up?” And they *said to Him, “Seven.”

And He was asking them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.”

And they also had a few small fish; and after He blessed them, He ordered these to be served as well.

Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find awake when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them.

And it happened that when He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and after breaking it, He was giving it to them.

His mother *said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Other small boats came from Tiberias near to the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

He who regards the day, regards it for the Lord, and he who eats, eats for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who does not eat, for the Lord he does not eat and gives thanks to God.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

As soon as you enter the city you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat, for the people will not eat until he comes because he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. So now, go up for you will find him at once.”
