for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.”

And calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all those putting money into the treasury;

She has done what she could; she anointed My body beforehand for the burial.

And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them.

But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’

And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone,

“No one shall take a handmill or an upper millstone in pledge, for he would be taking a life in pledge.

But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
