Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and immediately they *spoke to Jesus about her.
When Jesus came into Peter’s home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever.
And immediately after they came out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she began waiting on them.
and *pleaded with Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death; please come, that by coming, You may lay Your hands on her, so that she will be saved and live.”
So the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”
Do we not have authority to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
