And the news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.

And when the Sabbath passed, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him.

[Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.

And following Him was a large multitude of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him.

And all His acquaintances and the women who accompanied Him from Galilee were standing at a distance, watching these things.

Now the women, who had come with Him from Galilee, followed and beheld the tomb and how His body was laid.

And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered him.

Therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

These all with one accord were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.
