This is an evil in all that is done under the sun, that there is one fate for all. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterwards they go to the dead.

Now they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “He said that because we did not bring bread.”

And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He *was speaking about them.

And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things,

And after looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so, and his hand was restored.

Now it happened that at this time He went off to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the whole night in prayer to God.

Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Sanhedrin together, and were saying, “What are we doing? For this man is doing many signs.

And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

And as I punished them often in all the synagogues, I tried to force them to blaspheme; and being furiously enraged at them, I kept pursuing them even to foreign cities.

But when they had ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin, they began to confer with one another,

But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to hear you rather than God, you be the judge;

But when they heard this, they became furious and intended to kill them.

Now when they heard this, they became furious in their hearts, and they began gnashing their teeth at him.

But they will not make further progress, for their folly will be obvious to all, just as theirs was also.
