And soldiers were also questioning him, saying, “What should we also do?” And he said to them, “Do not take money from anyone by force, or extort anyone, and be content with your wages.”

“You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.

And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,

But Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor, and if I have extorted anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.”

And the crowds were questioning him, saying, “Then what should we do?”

And he said to them, “Collect no more than what you have been ordered to.”

And when the angel who was speaking to him had left, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier of those who were his personal attendants,

so that you will be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Not that I speak from want, for I learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.
