“If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe,

Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “If I tell you, will you not certainly put me to death? Besides, if I give you counsel, you will not listen to me.”

But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

and if I ask a question, you will not answer.

The high priest then questioned Jesus about His disciples, and about His teaching.

Why do you question Me? Question those who have heard what I spoke to them; behold, they know what I said.”
