And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”

But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things,

And He said, “I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.

And he went out and cried bitterly.

And when the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her and said to her, “Do not cry.”

Summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are You the One who is to come, or should we look for someone else?”

Jesus *answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.

This One God exalted to His right hand as a Leader and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Therefore, remember that formerly you—the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands—

Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first. But if not, I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent.
