And a servant-girl, seeing him as he sat in the firelight and looking intently at him, said, “This man was with Him too.”
Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a servant-girl came to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.”
And when it was evening He *came with the twelve.
But Jesus said, “Let her alone; why do you bother her? She did a good work to Me.
Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.
And after they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter was sitting among them.
But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.”
Then the servant-girl who kept the door *said to Peter, “Are you not also one of this man’s disciples?” He *said, “I am not.”
