Why have you prophesied in the name of Yahweh saying, ‘This house will be like Shiloh, and this city will be laid waste, without inhabitant’?” And all the people gathered about Jeremiah in the house of Yahweh.

How dark the gold has become, How the pure gold has changed! The sacred stones are poured out At the head of every street.

Because of Mount Zion which lies desolate, Foxes walk about in it.

Therefore, on account of you Zion will be plowed as a field; Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, And the mountain of the house of God will become high places of a forest.

Open your doors, O Lebanon, That a fire may consume your cedars.

Indeed, I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city will go forth in exile, but those left of the people will not be cut off from the city.

And He answered and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”

And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another which will not be torn down.”

So they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, when therefore will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”
