Now during the day He was teaching in the temple, but during the night He would go out and spend it on the mount called “of Olives.”

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.

And when they had approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

And He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

At that time Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would against a robber? Every day I used to sit in the temple teaching and you did not seize Me.

And on the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry.

And when evening came, they were going out of the city.

Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place in order that the Scriptures would be fulfilled.”

And it happened that when He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount called “of Olives,” He sent two of the disciples,

Now as soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God, rejoicing with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,

And He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,

And He came out and went as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him.

Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

Now Judas also, who was betraying Him, knew the place, for Jesus had often gathered there with His disciples.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away.
