So he ran on before and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way.

And he hurried and came down and received Him gladly.

Nathanael *said to Him, “From where do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

And working together with Him, we also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being firmly rooted and grounded in love,

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
