And I say to you, make friends for yourselves from the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will take you into the eternal dwellings.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

But give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you.

“Sell your possessions and give it as charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys.

and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for it will be repaid to you at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?

No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

I know what I shall do, so that when I am removed from the stewardship people will take me into their homes.’

and he *said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

And looking intently on him and becoming afraid, he said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God.

For our momentary, light affliction is working out for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,

keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
