But what father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?
“Can a woman forget her infant And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.
Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?
Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.
Or, if his son asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
