Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh his God from the stomach of the fish,
And it will be that you will drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to sustain you there.”
“Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.
Call upon Me in the day of distress; I shall rescue you, and you will glorify Me.”
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in his distress; I will rescue him and honor him.
O Yahweh, they visited You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer; Your chastening was upon them.
I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.
Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.
