In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

¶Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

and were continually in the temple blessing God.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: This is what the first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life, says:

Then He said to me, “They are done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: This is what the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says:
