But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead by itself.

He who cultivates his land will be satisfied with bread, But he who pursues empty things lacks a heart of wisdom.

For even though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened.

For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

If anyone thinks himself to be religious while not bridling his tongue but deceiving his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

For some, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Thus says Yahweh, “What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me And walked after vanity and became vain?

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? Will the thing molded say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this”?
