Then Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he did not set his heart even on this.

but he who did not consider in his heart the word of Yahweh left his servants and his livestock in the field.

¶Let us search out and examine our ways, And let us return to Yahweh.

Again, he considered and turned away from all his transgressions which he had done; he shall surely live; he shall not die.

And the man spoke to me, “Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. Declare to the house of Israel all that you are seeing.”

Then he said to me, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you gave your heart to understand this and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.

Then, as soon as the king heard this word, he was greatly distressed within himself and set his mind on saving Daniel; and even until sunset he kept exerting himself to deliver him.

“Is it time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses while this house lies waste?”

You have sown much, but bring in little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”

Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “Set your heart to consider your ways!

But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger!

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize about yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.
