So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended on him; and he appointed him overseer over his house, and all that he owned he gave in his hand.

The king’s favor is toward a servant who acts insightfully, But his fury is toward him who acts shamefully.

When a man’s ways are pleasing to Yahweh, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

A slave who acts insightfully will rule over a son who acts shamefully, And will share in the inheritance among brothers.

¶Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.

He who guards the fig tree will eat its fruit, And he who keeps watch for his master will be honored.

So you will find favor and good insight In the eyes of God and man.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
