Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children, and she had an Egyptian servant-woman whose name was Hagar.

So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.

As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant-woman and one by the free woman.

But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh was persecuting him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.

and others experienced mockings and floggings, yes, also chains and imprisonment.
