Now the angel of Yahweh found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.

And Abraham journeyed from there toward the land of the Negev and settled between Kadesh and Shur; then he sojourned in Gerar.

Then God heard the voice of the boy crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.

Arise, lift up the boy, and hold him by the hand, for I will make a great nation of him.”

Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

But the angel of Yahweh called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

Then the angel of Yahweh called to Abraham a second time from heaven,

Yahweh, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kin, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, ‘To your seed I will give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from there.

And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt as one goes toward Assyria; he settled in the face of all his brothers.

Then the angel of God said to me in the dream, ‘Jacob,’ and I said, ‘Here I am.’

Then Moses had Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.

And the angel of Yahweh appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of the bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.

The eyes of Yahweh are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.

So Saul struck the Amalekites, from Havilah as you go to Shur, which is east of Egypt.
