Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for myself as a wife? So now, here is your wife, take her and go.”

Then Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

So Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away with his wife and all that belonged to him.

Abimelech then took sheep and oxen and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham and returned his wife Sarah to him.

Go then, eat your bread in gladness and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
