You whose garments are hot, When the land is quiet because of the south wind?

“Out of the south comes the storm, And out of the north the cold.

He spoke and set up a stormy wind, Which raised up the waves of the sea.

He caused the storm to stand still, So that its waves were hushed.

All the rivers go into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers go, There they continually go.

Just as you do not know the path of the wind and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the work of God who works all things.

But Yahweh hurled a great wind on the sea, and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship gave thought to breaking apart.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who has been born of the Spirit.”
