and you will even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

And they were all amazed, so that they were arguing among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.

And the commander took him by the hand and stepping aside, began to inquire of him privately, “What is it that you have to report to me?”

But some days later Felix arrived with Drusilla, his wife who was a Jewess, and summoned Paul and heard him speak about faith in Christ Jesus.

Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I also would like to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” he *said, “you shall hear him.”

Now Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” Then Paul, stretching out his hand, began to make his defense:
