They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay each one according to his deeds.

“Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.

But again he was denying it. And after a little while the bystanders were again saying to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are also a Galilean.”

So then, the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

and when the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen,

beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

and for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very ones who are now His witnesses to the people.

So they were astounded and marveling, saying, “Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?

But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this, or why do you gaze at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk?

whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. Yes, amen.
