And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being far more zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers:

as we night and day keep praying most earnestly that we may see your face, and may complete what is lacking in your faith?

keeping faith and a good conscience, which some, having rejected, suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith.

But the goal of our command is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and an unhypocritical faith.

Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

being reminded of the unhypocritical faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am convinced that it is in you as well.

and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against Yahweh by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and upright way.
