Then they cried out to Yahweh in their trouble; He delivered them out of their distresses.

Then I called upon the name of Yahweh: “O Yahweh, I beseech You, provide my soul escape!”

In my distress I called to Yahweh, And He answered me.

In my distress I called upon Yahweh, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.

¶One thing I have asked from Yahweh, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Yahweh And to inquire in His temple.

This poor man called out, and Yahweh heard him And saved him out of all his troubles.

And Yahweh said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sufferings.

“So I said, ‘I have been driven away from Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’

“While my soul was fainting within me, I remembered Yahweh, And my prayer came to You, To Your holy temple.

“But Yahweh is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.”

And being in agony He was praying very fervently, and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.

He, in the days of His flesh, offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.

Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields—that which has been withheld by you—cries out against you; and the outcries of those who did the harvesting have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
