He said, “Yahweh is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
“For who is God, but Yahweh? And who is a rock, but our God?
“God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless in His way.
“The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me, ‘He who rules over men as a righteous one, Who rules in the fear of God,
My lovingkindness and my fortress, My stronghold and my deliverer, My shield and He in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.
For You are my high rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.
¶I say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given the command to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.
I will say to Yahweh, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high.
