Now it happened at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines; and she went out to cry out to the king for her house and for her field.

So the woman of Tekoa spoke to the king, and she fell on her face to the ground and prostrated herself and said, “Save, O king.”

And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Behold, you have been careful for us with all this care; what can I do for you? Would you be spoken for to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” And she answered, “I live among my own people.”

As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Save, my lord, O king!”

So the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God, and she went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

Now the king was speaking with Gehazi, the young man of the man of God, saying, “Please recount to me all the great things that Elisha has done.”

Then the king asked the woman, and she recounted it to him. So the king appointed for her a certain officer, saying, “Restore all that was hers and all the produce of the field from the day that she left the land even until now.”

“He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; Then it was well. Is not that what it means to know Me?” Declares Yahweh.

So she went forth from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.
