Then Jehoash king of Israel seized Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, 400 cubits.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”

A man’s lofty pride will bring him low, But a lowly spirit will take hold of glory.

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.

And at the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon with the valuable articles of the house of Yahweh, and he made his relative Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him and bound him with bronze chains to lead him off to Babylon.

Therefore Yahweh brought the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria against them, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze chains, and took him to Babylon.

Then they seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they spoke their judgment on him.

So all the military force of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard tore down the walls around Jerusalem.
