“Those who contend with Yahweh will be dismayed; Against them He will thunder in the heavens; Yahweh will render justice to the ends of the earth, And He will give strength to His king, And He will exalt the horn of His anointed.”

“Yahweh thundered from heaven, And the Most High gave forth His voice.

He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

So now, thus you shall say to My servant David, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “I Myself took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.

“Or do you have an arm like God, And can you thunder with a voice like His?

“There I will cause the horn of David to spring up; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

And He has raised up a horn for His people, Praise for all His holy ones; For the sons of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise Yah!

The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying,

“But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like a potter’s vessel.’ ”

¶Now I know that Yahweh saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving might of His right hand.

Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of Yahweh, our God.

O Yahweh, in Your strength the king will be glad, And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!

Yahweh is their strength, And He is a strong defense of salvation to His anointed.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.

For You are the beauty of their strength, And by Your favor our horn is exalted.

“My faithfulness and My lovingkindness will be with him, And in My name his horn will be exalted.

“I shall also set his hand on the sea And his right hand on the rivers.

Before Yahweh, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness And the peoples in His faithfulness.

Before Yahweh, for He is coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness And the peoples with equity.

“Your right hand, O Yahweh, is majestic in power, Your right hand, O Yahweh, shatters the enemy.

Be glad, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be merry during the days of young manhood. And walk in the ways of your heart and in the sights of your eyes. Yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things.

For God will bring every work to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

From Yahweh of hosts you will be punished with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, With whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a consuming fire.

Behold, a king will reign righteously And princes will rule justly.

“They will say of Me, ‘Only in Yahweh are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.

“On that day I will make a horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will open your mouth in their midst. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.”

“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom, which has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

And raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of David His servant—

But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence.’ ”

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

“Thus let all Your enemies perish, O Yahweh; But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might.” And the land was quiet for forty years.

So now, behold, the king whom you have chosen, whom you have asked for, and behold, Yahweh has set a king over you.

Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call to Yahweh, that He may send thunder and rain. Then you will know and see that your wickedness is great which you have done in the eyes of Yahweh by asking for yourselves a king.”

So Samuel called to Yahweh, and Yahweh sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared Yahweh and Samuel.

Here I am; bear witness against me before Yahweh and His anointed. Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? I will restore it to you.”

So Samuel said to him, “Yahweh has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to your neighbor, who is better than you.

Then Yahweh said to Samuel, “How long will you be grieving over Saul? I have rejected him from being king over Israel. Fill your horn with oil and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I see among his sons a king for Me.”

Now Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day against the Philistines and confused them, so that they were defeated before Israel.
