Now the angel of Yahweh found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.

The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one that went around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.

And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt as one goes toward Assyria; he settled in the face of all his brothers.

Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

They struck down the remnant of the Amalekites who escaped, and have lived there to this day.

“That the wicked is reserved for the day of disaster; They will be led forth at the day of fury.

Then Moses had Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.

Then it happened when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had made a raid on the Negev and on Ziklag and had struck Ziklag and burned it with fire;
