Then Eli said to her, “How long will you make yourself drunk? Put away your wine from you.”
If wickedness is in your hand, put it far away, And do not let unrighteousness dwell in your tents;
“If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent,
“How long will you say these things, And the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
¶How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a fence thrust down?
Put away from you a perverse mouth And put devious lips far from you.
How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?
But others, mocking, were saying, “They are full of new wine.”
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and shouting and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
