and had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

and twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.

For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

on the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
