And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, And take away mine iniquity? For now shall I sleep in the dust; And thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; Incline thine ear unto me: In the day when I call answer me speedily.

How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

Hide not thy face far from me; Put not thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; Leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me; Make haste to help me, O LORD.

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
