They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: And they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: He lieth in wait to catch the poor: He doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: Yet I erred not from thy precepts.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah.

Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

For they speak not peace: But they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

All the brethren of the poor do hate him: How much more do his friends go far from him? He pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.
