Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah.
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; Adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: Let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
Then the proud waters, Had gone over our soul.
idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
O God, the proud are risen against me, And the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; And have not set thee before them.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, When his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; Thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: Let thy glory be above all the earth.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, And teach me thy statutes.
