For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

Thou hast called as in a solemn day My terrors round about, So that in the day of the LORD's anger None escaped nor remained: Those that I have swaddled and brought up hath Mine enemy consumed.

Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the sword of the enemy and fear is on every side.

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, Him will I cut off: Him that hath an high look And a proud heart will not I suffer.

My soul is among lions: And I lie even among them that are set on fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: Mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?

Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
