Proverbs 7:23

Till a dart strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, And knoweth not that it is for his life.

Surely in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird.

For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: And the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: He that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

He goeth after her straightway, As an ox goeth to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

But he knoweth not that the dead are there; And that her guests are in the depths of hell.

and I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
