When thou goest, it shall lead thee; When thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; And when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Discretion shall preserve thee, Understanding shall keep thee:
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.
Mine eyes prevent the night watches, That I might meditate in thy word.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Thy statutes have been my songs In the house of my pilgrimage.
Thy testimonies also are My delight and my counsellors.
O send out thy light and thy truth: Let them lead me; Let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.
Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, That have set themselves against me round about.
