For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, And her mouth is smoother than oil:
To deliver thee from the strange woman, Even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, With the flattering of her lips she forced him.
That they may keep thee from the strange woman, From the stranger which flattereth with her words.
To keep thee from the evil woman, From the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: His words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, And embrace the bosom of a stranger?
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: He that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: Honey and milk are under thy tongue; And the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
and I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
