An angry man stirreth up strife, And a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: But he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
He loveth transgression that loveth strife: And he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction.
As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; So is a contentious man to kindle strife.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: But love covereth all sins.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Make no friendship with an angry man; And with a furious man thou shalt not go:
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: And a man of wicked devices is hated.
Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, And the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: So the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child Shall have him become his son at the length.
Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; And their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.
Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
