For riches are not for ever: And doth the crown endure to every generation?

And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

He hath stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.

His seed shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: Thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

Labour not to be rich: Cease from thine own wisdom.

Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

The crown is fallen from our head: Woe unto us, that we have sinned!

thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

but the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
