For there shall be no reward to the evil man; The candle of the wicked shall be put out.
The light of the righteous rejoiceth: But the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
Whoso curseth his father or his mother, His lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: This shall be the portion of their cup.
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! And how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
For surely there is an end; And thine expectation shall not be cut off.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God.
Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: For vanity shall be his recompence.
He that hath a froward heart findeth no good: And he that hath a perverse tongue falleth into mischief.
An high look, and a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.
