The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; But his favour is as dew upon the grass.

Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, And the fatness of the earth, And plenty of corn and wine:

And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, Even a morning without clouds; As the tender grass springing out of the earth By clear shining after rain.

As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; So is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

and for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: The fountain of Jacob Shall be upon a land of corn and wine; Also his heavens shall drop down dew.
