Proverbs 16:30

He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: Moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.

He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: But a prating fool shall fall.

An ungodly man diggeth up evil: And in his lips there is as a burning fire.

A violent man enticeth his neighbour, And leadeth him into the way that is not good.

The hoary head is a crown of glory, If it be found in the way of righteousness.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
